US SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce to Step Down on October 2

Tapbit news reported on September 26 that US financial journalist Eleanor Terrett posted on X that US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce will step down on October 2, after serving at the SEC for nearly nine years. Known as "Crypto Mom" for her strong support of the crypto industry, she will join Regent University School of Law as an associate professor starting in November. After her departure, the SEC will be left with only two members: Chairman Paul Atkins and Commissioner Mark Uyeda.
