Midnight mainnet tops 1 million transactions as monthly activity jumps 26,508%

Midnight, the privacy-focused blockchain led by Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson, has surpassed 1 million cumulative transactions on its mainnet, The Crypto Basic reported. According to the Midnight Explorer, the network has recorded 1,094,866 cumulative transactions and 1,434 deployed smart contracts.

On-chain activity surged over the past month. Daily transactions rose from 100 on Sept. 28 to 49,229 on Oct. 25, although the recent daily total has eased to 26,608. Even so, the monthly increase reached 26,508%. Meanwhile, CoinMarketCap data shows NIGHT trading at $0.03955, down 3.6%.
