U.S.-Iran talks continue late into the night, three major issues remain unresolved

BlockBeats news, April 12, according to CCTV reports, the third round of talks between Iran and the U.S. in Islamabad ended on April 12 local time, with Iran describing this round as the “last chance” to reach a framework agreement.

Since the 11th, both sides have held intensive negotiation agendas and consultations late into the night, racing to seize the temporary ceasefire window to intensify their game, but sharp differences remain on three core issues: control of the Strait of Hormuz, unfreezing of overseas assets, and uranium enrichment.

Off the negotiating table, the U.S. military announced mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, while the Israeli Prime Minister claimed to continue striking Iran and its proxies. With the ceasefire window dwindling, diplomatic maneuvering and military moves are heating up simultaneously, placing the Middle East situation at a crossroads between war and peace.
