The Base mainnet experienced an outage early this morning due to an anomalous block, and has now resumed operation.

PANews, June 26th — According to official sources, Base disclosed at 00:27 Beijing time on June 26th that its mainnet experienced an outage due to a block production issue. The team confirmed that the problem stemmed from an abnormal block interfering with subsequent block construction, and all funds are secure. At 1:53, the team announced that the ordering of new blocks had resumed, internal nodes were syncing normally, and teams running validator nodes needed to restart their Base nodes to restore synchronization. At 3:22, the team announced that block production had returned to normal, and various applications and infrastructure were gradually coming back online as nodes restarted. The team has identified the root cause of this outage and will prioritize publishing a comprehensive postmortem analysis report.

Additionally, The Block reported that this outage occurred on the same day as Base’s planned Beryl upgrade at 02:00 Beijing time on June 26th, but it is reportedly unrelated to the scheduled maintenance.
