PANews, July 23 - According to CoinDesk, Tesla maintained its Bitcoin holdings unchanged in the second quarter, still holding 11,509 BTC, extending its record of no Bitcoin purchases or sales for nearly four years. As Bitcoin fell from approximately $83,000 to $58,000 during the quarter, Tesla reported a $112 million after-tax impairment loss on its digital asset holdings. Tesla remains one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders, but its holdings are significantly smaller than companies like Strategy, which continue to accumulate. In terms of financial results, Tesla reported non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.33 for the second quarter, below the expected $0.55; revenue of $28.2 billion, above the expected $27.6 billion; gross margin of 16.8%; GAAP net profit of $1.11 billion; and free cash flow of negative $1.1 billion. Tesla initially purchased $1.5 billion in Bitcoin in early 2021, sold about 75% of its holdings in 2022, and has since maintained its remaining 11,509 BTC to date.

PANews July 23 news, according to CoinDesk, crypto-friendly digital bank Revolut reached a $115 billion valuation in an employee share sale, up 53% from $75 billion last November, making it Europe’s most valuable private company. Shares were priced at $2,017 each, with the transaction allowing employees and existing shareholders to sell stock rather than raising new capital for the company. The valuation has already surpassed Barclays’ market cap of roughly $95 billion. Revolut reported a 2025 pre-tax profit of $2.3 billion (up 57% year-over-year), revenue of $6 billion (up 46%), and over 75 million customers. Revolut’s main app supports trading in more than 200 crypto tokens, asset transfers and staking, and operates the standalone crypto exchange Revolut X. The company obtained a MiCA license last year, received a UK banking license in March, and has applied for a US national bank charter. It has previously discussed a future IPO seeking a valuation of up to $200 billion.

PANews July 22 news, according to The Block, the U.S. House Agriculture Committee's Digital Assets Subcommittee held a hearing on sports betting prediction markets on Tuesday, with lawmakers discussing whether current laws and CFTC resources are sufficient to regulate this rapidly expanding industry. Over the past year, CFTC Chairman Michael Selig has taken a tough stance, asserting that the agency has "exclusive jurisdiction" over prediction markets and fighting multiple states through litigation. At the hearing, lawmakers also focused on CFTC resources — the agency's fiscal year 2027 budget request is $410 million (a 12.3% increase), with around 550 employees, far below the SEC's $1.9 billion budget and more than 4,000 employees. Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn Thompson said he would assess whether regulatory gaps exist and consider legislation. Congressman Dusty Johnson noted that derivatives products have undergone massive changes and that existing laws need to address previously unforeseen issues, stating, "The courts and the commission are both acting. Congress should not remain silent. We have work to do here."

PANews, July 22 – According to The Block, Movement Labs (MVMT), the original core development company behind the Movement blockchain, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware earlier this month. According to documents filed on July 15, the company reported assets between $100,000 and $500,000 and liabilities of up to $10 million, listing nearly 299 creditors. The largest unsecured claim is over $1.6 million from ousted co-founder Rushikesh Manche. Manche retains a 34.25% equity stake and previously filed a lawsuit — which was upheld — seeking payment of legal fees related to a Department of Justice grand jury investigation into the MOVE token issuance scandal. The company was once the core developer of the Ethereum Layer 2 network Movement Network, having completed a $38 million Series A funding round led by Polychain. The MOVE token issuance in December 2024 triggered a crisis due to market maker dumping. Following an internal investigation, Manche was fired, and core development work has been transferred to Move Industries.

PANews July 21 news, according to Sina Finance, a study by Nikkei shows that with the surge in artificial intelligence investment, the hidden debt of U.S. tech giants has grown eightfold in just four years, estimated to reach $1.65 trillion. This figure exceeds their actual debt on the books, making it harder for investors to assess related risks. Nikkei analyzed the recent financial statements and other materials of Google parent Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle. Among them, Meta's off-balance-sheet debt is particularly high, at about $420 billion, almost three times its recorded debt.
