Tapbit news reported on October 16 that, according to Tesla's official website, the new Roadster is divided into the Performance version, the Thrust version, and the Rocket version. The Performance version features a two-seat layout and is street-legal, with a deposit of $50,000 in the United States; the China website currently only opens pre-orders for this version, with a deposit of RMB 332,000. The Thrust version is a limited release, for track use only, equipped with cold-gas thrusters at the rear; Tesla claims 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 1 second, with a deposit of $250,000, limited to one per customer, and availability subject to local regulations.
