Tapbit news reported on October 2 that NEAR Intents said it has identified the individual behind the security vulnerability that caused roughly $3.8 million in user fund losses on Thursday, and has given them 48 hours to return the funds under a "responsible disclosure" framework.

NEAR Intents General Manager Alex Shevchenko said: "We have identified you." He also published three different wallet addresses for receiving Bitcoin, BNB and Solana. "You know better than most how responsible disclosure works — this is the last chance to use this mechanism. In 48 hours, this window will close."

On Thursday, NEAR Intents suspended related services after discovering "a vulnerability in the interaction between the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and the NEAR Intents smart contract."
