Anthropic Abandons $6 Billion Acquisition of Decart AI

Sources say that Anthropic had previously conducted due diligence on Decart for a deal worth approximately $6 billion, but ultimately chose to walk away. The two parties may still explore other forms of collaboration in the future. Decart has developed software-hardware co-optimization technology that can improve chip utilization efficiency and reduce AI training and inference costs. Anthropic has rarely engaged in large-scale M&A and has recently been heavily investing in computing power to develop new products and serve clients, while also preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) that could approach or even surpass the scale of SpaceX.
