PANews reported on August 13, according to CoinDesk, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) issued new guidance warning that incentive programs on prediction market platforms have compliance issues. The CFTC pointed out that reward mechanisms designed to encourage high-volume participants may cause participants to trade solely to meet volume targets, increasing the risk of wash trading, prearranged trading, and other fraudulent and manipulative conduct. At the same time, market maker programs that guarantee net returns or cover losses through fixed subsidies and rebates may also encourage misconduct. The CFTC said that filing documents for relevant incentive programs often have procedural or substantive deficiencies, hindering its assessment of whether platforms fully disclose terms and evaluate compliance. The CFTC is promoting the development of prediction markets while guiding the industry to comply with existing rules through guidance and advisory opinions.

Deep Wave TechFlow news, August 12, according to CoinDesk, Bitcoin has recently continued to fluctuate within a narrow range of 62,000 to 66,000 US dollars for several weeks. The stable inflow of spot ETF funds has been offset by over-the-counter selling by miners and institutional holders such as MicroStrategy, resulting in a lack of a clear breakout direction for the price.Current trading volume and implied volatility have fallen to three-year lows, market momentum is insufficient, and investor positions show hedging rather than betting on major fluctuations. Analysts point out that the US CPI inflation data on Wednesday and the regulatory progress of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act may be key catalysts to break the deadlock, but historical data shows that Bitcoin has fallen by an average of about 4% in September, and seasonal weakness factors may constitute upward resistance.

PANews, August 11 — BlackRock’s head of digital assets, Robert Mitchnick, noted that over the past month, Bitcoin market sentiment has shown a clear but subtle improvement, and its correlation with U.S. stocks is weakening — a healthy development for Bitcoin’s thesis as a portfolio diversifier and tail-risk hedge. He pointed out that during the sharp sell-off in the AI sector in July, Bitcoin significantly outperformed, reflecting this decoupling. Although Bitcoin is down nearly 30% year-to-date and about 50% from a year ago, ETF investors continue to buy — U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $853.5 million in inflows last week, the best weekly performance since mid-April. Of that, BlackRock’s IBIT contributed $693.7 million (over 80%), and Fidelity’s FBTC added $116.4 million. Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas noted that multiple funds saw daily net inflows after the Coldcard vulnerability was disclosed, and “it’s hard not to see causation.”
