Robinhood’s second-quarter forecast market revenue of $156 million surpasses cryptocurrency and stock trading

PANews, July 30th, According to The Block, Robinhood’s second-quarter prediction market revenue surpassed cryptocurrency and stock trading revenue, helping total transaction revenue increase 44% year-on-year to $776 million. Specifically, event contract revenue was $156 million, cryptocurrency trading revenue was $100 million (down 38% year-on-year), and stock trading revenue was $129 million.

Robinhood’s second-quarter total net revenue increased 32% year-on-year to $1.31 billion, and net profit of $573 million rose 48% year-on-year. The notional trading volume of cryptocurrency was $40 billion (including Bitstamp’s $22 billion). Robinhood entered the prediction market in October 2024, launched a prediction market hub in March this year, and introduced a CFTC-licensed exchange Rothera in June. After the launch of Robinhood Chain, the TVL is approximately $325 million, DEX trading volume has exceeded $12 billion, and the transaction count has surpassed 150 million. Following the earnings report, Robinhood’s stock fell about 3% in after-hours trading to $86.89.
